I am turning 4o this year, too! Count me in. Can I contribute a sweater and hat for a 12 month old? I knit it from Mission Falls cotton but don't yet have a recipient.

As much as we'd love to, I think we must stick to the guidelines from Afghans for Afghans and accept only wool items. It would be a shame to have it taken out of a shipment en route to Afghanistan. http://www.knitomatic.com/beginners.html#Knit%20&%20Crochet%20for%20Charity have a list of charity knitting, and the staff at Yarn Forward may have ideas as well. I know that Bethany House in Ottawa accepts clothing donations as well. They work with young moms and families. All the best!

When I wrote this, I had only absorbed the guidelines about no acrylics. I realized shortly after I wrote this that cotton is a no-no too. I'll make something else to contribute.

I hate to turn down Mission Falls - it's one of my favourite yarns. Yarn Forward has set aside some yarn for this project if you are looking for some. Thanks,
Amy
